The intention of this page is to illustrate the fun we have with our belly dance. Many of us socialize outside of bellydancing class, going out for meals and drinks, and many firm friendships have been made through our mutual interest in Egyptian dance. If any of you North Norfolk belly dancers out there have a funny or joyful photo you'd like to share on here with the rest of us, please send it to the webmistress. Or any suggestions for captions on the existing ones!
So what's funny about this? Well, nothing actually. This is Eceni, our local Tribal Belly Dance troupe, in all their serious, precise, majestic, powerful, womanly glory!
A wonderful photo of a dedicated group who are always well-rehearsed and fabulous to watch.
But this "off duty" pic of Eceni shows how much cameraderie and enjoyment they get out of it! And what fun they must have putting those costumes together! Lovely, isn't it?

What can Sarah be laughing at?
She looks thrilled at her raffle prize presented by The Master himself!
At the Hossam Ramzy 2006 Hafla, Sarah finds something quite hysterical to laugh at!
Or perhaps it was taken after she'd received this raffle prize and she was just very pleased with herself!
More raffle prizes - wake up you lot - you've won!
An interesting pic of Dianne the webmistress. I reckon that thing on my head would give the tribal girls a run for their money! What is it, "Thing?"
And obviously the floor was an integral part of this dance as I look pretty intent on it!
"The Eceni Norfolk and Eastern Counties formation team take to the floor - and look at all those hand-sewn dreadlocks individually applied by their Grannies' hands"
(What, are you all too young to remember the OLD "Come Dancing?")
Actually you can tell from this pic that the Hafla was winding down at this point but you can't keep these girls down! (nor, apparently, me, Dianne, spinning about in the background in the green skirt - I'm in my own little world by the look of it!).
What a great picture of Lucy and Frances - real full-on smiles! They must be watching something good!

A common occurence during Workshop and Hafla weekends is a meal out in a local North Norfolk restaurant on the Saturday night after the workshops.
Here Maria D'Silva and her partner Joe relax with Marion and Lynne
Any more jolly or funny photos or stories that North Norfolk belly dancers would like to share? I'm happy to put them up on these pages. Dianne, (Webmistress)

I say! What can they be looking at?
Jane, our, er, organiser, and her husband Max - he's the one with the Fez!
Any caption suggestions considered!
