At the heart of any bellydance community are the classes which are held weekly and where experienced and new teachers can bring the joy of this unique dance technique to their students.
Our regular classes run in ten-week terms roughly coinciding with school term times. They are held on Monday nights.

6.30 - 7.45: Beginners

Jane gives everyone a list of the class dates at the beginning of each term, sometimes there is the odd break (often at half term) but we sometimes use that week to practise a choreography to perform at the next Hafla.
Beginners are always welcome and all you need to start is some comfortable clothing you can really move in. A light scarf of some sort is recommended to go round your hips. Once you get hooked you will find you have more interest in buying coin shimmy belts and costumes! The glamour side of the bellydance hobby is very alluring, as evidenced by the throngs around the bazaar stalls at our Haflas! People really wear what they like in our classes. Although it is normal to wear less elaborate costume than you would at a hafla, in our classes people dress up or dress down as they feel appropriate, with no pressure either way. It's good to feel pretty though as it makes your dancing better!

The Early 2012 term costs £45.00, which is payable to "North Walsham Dance" by cash or cheque at the first class of term (or sometimes at the end of the previous term if you prefer). Please note for your £45 this term you get 10 classes.
